A "Working Visit" Day...

Few months back, my boss suggested that the departmental meeting should alternate with some working visits & therefore, we've gone to various places i.e. Putrajaya Lake Cruise, Putrajaya Mosque, The Royal Mint, Karangkraf and Langkawi Island. So today, with all the management team, we had a trip down to The All Asia Broadcast Centre (ABC), the nerve centre of ASTRO's operations for Malaysia and other markets within its satellite footprint.


The RM800 million complex is strategically located in the Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC), on a 29-acre site at Technology Park Malaysia, Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur. The purpose of our visit was so-called "a friendly & get-to-know session" not forgetting as part of the good collaboration for the sake of media & publicity, as ASTRO plays an important role as a media centre.


Getting out of the office and its' routine sometimes are good for the mind, health, body & soul. During the 'tour' we were briefed & taken to all the 16 radio stations, the productions rooms, the studios, the control centres and finally the Executive Dining Room where we had a sumptuous lunch with the Executive Directors of AMP & AAAN together with COO of Maestro Talent Mgmt, the famous Mr Freddie Fernandez. The 3 hours' visit to ASTRO was wonderful, fruitful & knowledgable.

Next on the list, the meeting will be held in Phuket Island, mainly, "The Phuket Fantasea".
